Big game hunters will be especially happy in this territory where big game, such as moose, black bear and even caribou, is not rare. Small game hunters will also find what they are looking for since they can hunt hare and four kinds of partridges. Fishing will most certainly provide you with some big thrills. Catching walleyes is quite a challenge. That fish can mainly be found in the lakes Matagami, Goéland and Olga. The ice fishing experience is unique. Pulling out a pike weighing some fifteen pounds is one true fishing story that you will remember for a long time. We know that Matagami is a real paradise for hunting and fishing aficionados.
